Bullseye-Sports.com’s Dwayne Bryant gives his thoughts and predictions on the AFC East for the upcoming season. Teams are listed in their predicted order of finish.

1. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Offense: QB Tom Brady is without a doubt one of the best QBs in the game. With a nearly non-existent running game in 2005, Brady was called on to carry the load – and he responded with a big year. Brady threw for 4,110 yards and 26 TDs with a 92.3 QB rating. The Pats drafted RB Laurence Maroney as insurance for the aging Dillon. The receiving corps is suspect except for former Super Bowl MVP Deion Branch. David Givens left for Tennessee, leaving the Pats without a solid #2 WR. They drafted Chad Jackson to compete with Reche Caldwell. Look for more production from the TE position, where Ben Watson is poised for a breakout season. Daniel Graham is another viable option from the TE position. Brady spreads the ball around very well and makes his teammates better.

The History Of The Jacksonville Jaguars

Copyright (c) 2010 Matthew Love

The history of the Jacksonville Jaguars is relatively short considering they began as a expansion team in 1995. They play in Jacksonville, Florida, and joined the Central Division of the AFC at the same time as the Carolina Panthers. In 2002, the NFL realigned divisions and the Jaguars became a part of the AFC South Division, this meant a change in competitors. Jacksonville is known as a great place for football, boasting college and pro games, celebrating big games with parties and parades. A look back in Jacksonville history documents them hosting the 1967 and 1968 All Star Game of the AFL. They had made many attempts over the years to acquire an NFL franchise, first chasing after the Baltimore Colts with no avail, and then setting their sights on the Houston Oilers. They even created a “Jacksonville Oilers” banner and designated an area of the stadium as non-alcoholic and family oriented to try to win this team over in the late

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars is one of the youngest football teams of the National Football League. They call Jacksonville, Florida their home and play in the updated and renovated former Gator Bowl. They came about in 1995 and have pretty much been a fair football powerhouse since their first season. The stadium that they play in is an historic landmark. Built in the Great Depression out of steel trusses, the mammoth Stadium is now called Jacksonville Municipal Stadium but most people around the Northeast Florida area still call it the Gator Bowl.

Florida had not seen any new NFL teams since the Tampa Bay Bucs were added in the 1976 season. Even though the state of Florida already had 2 pro football teams, the state was and still is such a football-crazy area of the USA, adding a third team to the state’s NFL roster posed no problem. Jacksonville, Florida is the largest land-area city in the US and the fan base for the Jaguars is spread out over about

New Orleans Saints

History

Main article: History of the New Orleans Saints

Early history

The brainchild of local sports entrepreneur Dave Dixon, who also founded the Louisiana Superdome and the USFL, the Saints were actually secretly born in a backroom deal brought about by Congressman Hale Boggs, Senator Russell Long and NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle. The NFL needed congressional approval of the proposed AFL-NFL merger. Dixon and a local civic group had been seeking a NFL franchise for over 5 years, and had hosted record crowds to NFL exhibition games. To seal the merger, Rozelle arrived in New Orleans within a week, and announced on November 1, 1966 that the NFL officially had awarded the city of New Orleans an NFL franchise. Named for the great jazz song most identified with New Orleans “When the Saints Go Marching In,” the franchise was announced in a great coincidence on November 1st, which is the Catholic All Saints’ Day. Boggs’ Congressional

Terrell Owens Bills Jerseys Flying Off the Shelves

Terrell Owens Bills jerseys have quickly become some of the hottest sellers across all of the NFL. Some people might think that’s odd, because T.O. is hated by so many people across the country. It seems as if he leaves every team only following some serious drama that hindered that team’s on the field success.

However, people that think like that forget how all of these stories begin. In the first year or two that he’s with a team, Terrell Owens is an extremely positive force. He puts up big numbers, brings in lots of fans and helps the team win games. That’s why T.O. Bills jerseys are already so popular.

The Buffalo Bills have a young quarterback that’s still learning and growing into his role as team leader. They also have a talented running back when he can stay healthy. But to really be able to field a dynamic and threatening offense, they needed another weapon. Terrell Owens is that guy, and fans have quickly realized that by buying up his

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars is based in Jacksonville, Florida. They are currently members of the South Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The Jaguars, along with the Carolina Panthers, joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1995.

The club has played all of its home games at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium located near the St. Johns River. The team’s headquarters also located in the stadium.

In 1995, along with the Carolina Panthers, the Jacksonville Jaguars entered the NFL as the first expansion teams in almost 20 years. Both teams participated in the 1995 NFL Expansion Draft, with the Jaguars taking Steve Beuerlein, who quickly lost his starting job to Mark Brunell, with the first pick. The Jaguars finished their inaugural season with a record of 4–12. Both the Jaguars and the Panthers (7–9) broke the previous record for most wins by an expansion team (3) set by the

Nfl Predictions: 2007 Buffalo Bills Preview

The Bills finished 7-9 last season, losing five games by three points or less. Buffalo has some young talent, such as WR Lee Evans, QB J.P. Losman and SS Donte Whitner. But they lost much of their veteran nucleus, including CB Nate Clements, MLB London Fletcher-Baker, SLB Takeo Spikes and RB Willis McGahee. So where does that put Buffalo in 2007?

OFFENSE

QB J.P. Losman has a strong arm, capable of making all the throws. He’s adept at avoiding the rush and can make plays on the run. But he’s still young and needs to work on recognizing coverages and not locking on to one receiver. Losman also needs to learn to throw the ball away and not force throws.

At running back, Willis McGahee is off to Baltimore. Enter rookie first-round draft pick Marshawn Lynch. Lynch has a great blend of size (5-11, 215), speed and power. He’s solid in pass protection and can also play outside as a receiver. Lynch is elusive and rarely
